I've always had the inclination to replicate environments from an early age,
during my design education it was all about producing everything by hand,
airbrushes, letraset, photography (I'm not that old) but it sets you up so well
when the transition into computers arrives. You understand the values in 3D
software, lighting, camera settings from the 'real world'. I started my career
with print graphics but wanted to get back to technical illustration and jumped
at the chance to work on perspective drawing for an interiors company. We made
the leap to computerized visualization and have never looked back, after a three
day crash course on Maya it was pretty tuff going then I discovered VRay for
Maya beta. Everything seemed to fall into place, it seemed so easy compared to
Mental Ray. Can't wait for the full version to be released.
Many thanks,
Jeremy Cooper
